It is defined as the stoppage of your menstrual cycle after 40 or 50 years of age. Menopause is diagnosis when you do not got period for 12 months. It is a natural process.

- Osteoporosis due to decrease level of estrogen which help to absorb the calcium
- Cardiovascular disease
- Urinary incontinence due to lose of elasticity in urethra and vagina
- Decrease libido and pain during sexual intercourse
- Weight gain due to decrease metabolism

There is no specific test to diagnose the natural menopause. Your doctor may diagnosis the condition after taking detailed medical history.
Treatment
There is no treatment for menopause instead of that the main aim of treatment is to reduce the signs and symptoms which included:
- Hormonal therapy to relieve hot flashes and mood swings
- Vaginal estrogen to reduce vaginal dryness
- Antidepressants to reduce anxiety and hot flashes
- Medications to reduce the risk of osteoporosis
