It is defined as the throbbing pain on the one side of the head or overall face, it has pulsing sensation also. Nausea and vomiting also occur in some cases. Migraine attack some time remains for hours to days.

Family history is very important in migraine, after taking detailed medical history and conducting general physical examination your doctor might recommend the following test to diagnose the condition:
- CT scan to check the images of brain
- MRI to check cross sectional brain images
