It is a genetic disorder which involves the damage of myelin sheath a membrane which cover the nerve cells and provide insulating effects.
Adrenoleukodystrophy consist of a disorder in which our body unable to break down very long-chain fatty acids(VLCFAs) and then they start to accumulate in your brain, and adrenal glands. It is an X-linked disorder more affects the male than females.
Symptoms

- Paralysis
- Seizures
- Loss of hearing
- Muscle spasms
- Impaired vision
Diagnosis
Doctor will ask you some question about your health and do physical examination to evaluate the other disease. Following are the test to diagnosis the adrenuleukodystrophy:

Treatment
This disease has no cure. Stem cell transplantation will stop the further progression of the disease if it is done in at early stage. Treatment option mention below:
