It is defined as the infection cause by the bacteria called staphylococcus aureus which is resistance to methicillin or many other antibiotics which is commonly used in bacterial infection.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms include:
- Fever
- Warm to touch
- Pus
- Painful red bumps
- Pimples like spider bites
Causes
It is cause by the different variant of the staphylococcus aureus which enter in the body through the skin, nose or throat or by open wounds.
Complications
The MRSA infections are resistant to many antibodies therefore it is difficult to treat. MRSA infection may affect the following organs:
- Joints
- Heart
- Lungs
- Bones
Diagnosis
After taking medical history your doctor recommends the blood test to check the presence of any bacteria then check the sensitivity against certain drugs.
Treatment
MRSA infection does not respond to any antibiotic therefore your doctor does not prescribe you any antibiotic. If there any abscess formation then your doctor might drain the abscess.
