Myxofibrosarcoma

It is defined as the slow growing tumor which appear as painless lump in one of your legs or arms. This disease typically occurs in old age people and more common in men than in women.

Diagnosis

After taking medical history and conducting a physical examination your doctor might recommend a following tests to confirm the diagnosis:

  • MRI to see the extend of tumor
  • Core needle biopsy to see the microscopic changes in tumor cells
  • X-ray to check the distant metastasize
Treatment

Treatment options includes:

  • Surgical excision of lump
  • Chemotherapy in high grade tumor
  • Radio therapy to kill the cancer cells by radiations
