It is a condition in which you clench your teeth unintentionally. Grinding of teeth occur in both awakening and sleeping condition. Bruxism during sleep related with some sleep disorder like snoring and sleep apnea.

Bruxism can be noted by your dentist during routine dental checkup. He will be asked you a medical history and check the signs and symptoms of bruxism and diagnosis your condition.
Treatment
Mild treatment does not require any specific treatment but severe cases may require some treatment to prevent the complications. Your doctor recommends a splints and mouth guard to separated your teeth. Or sometime it corrected by correct the dental correction. Other option to avoid clenching your teeth is to remain relax and avoid stress. Certain medications like muscle relaxant will help you.
